Price Of Copper Per Kilo 2012


The value of scrap metal varies from day to day. In US, there are around 22 variants of copper available in the market depending on its purity and recycling cost. People can be seen collecting scrap copper that can be sold in exchange of good cash. If it's bright and lustrous i.e. a fine grade and can fetch $5-$8 per kilo. If it's an un-insulated one, price of copper per kilo is expected to be around $3-$5.

Die casts parts are the most craving variants of copper for people as they fetch them maximum return. Several classifications of copper scrap exist for recycling - heavy copper, scrap copper and light scrap copper.

Heavy copper consists of unalloyed, uncoated copper. Scrap copper is a clean and unalloyed one. Light scrap copper is generally a thin copper gauge. 

Lead is a heavy and soft metal. Price of scrap lead is around $1.2 per kilo and lead solder scrap price is $1 per kg.
