Collecting scrap metal such as copper and lead is a great way to make extra cash. The prices on scrap metal behave similar to stock prices they constantly fluctuate. Scrap copper and lead prices are dependent of the quality of each metal. How ever it's not to difficult to get a basic idea of what each metal is going for regardless of quality. Currently scrap copper prices per KG have an average of 6,697 euros, a high of 6,712 euros, and a low of 6,81 euros. Lead is currently going for a lot less than copper. A kilogram of scrap lead is currently selling for an average price of 1,904 euros, a high of 1,944 euros and a low of 1,855 euros.
When collecting scrap metal be sure to exercise proper safety. Especially with lead as lead is a heavy metal and can be quite toxic if handled improperly. Also make sure all your scrap metal was obtained legally.
